ExecuJet MRO Services is currently seeking a suitably qualified person to fill a vacancy based in Dubai. The main objective of the position is supervising the day to day functions of the Finance Department.
Supervise the daily activities of the Maintenance Finance Team, ensuring that the financial transactions of the company are accurately and timeously captured to provide meaningful information for management decision making and analysis.
Review month-end results for Maintenance Dept prior to ledger close to identify any missing entries and ensure correct allocations of cost and revenue.
Finalize Maintenance month-end results and prepare management reports, explaining significant expense variances to budget.
Submission of regional results to Group in accordance with Group reporting deadlines using COGNOS.
Analysis of work pack profitability.
Support the Finance Director with preparation of annual budgets, bi-annual forecasts and other business plans in accordance with regional and Group reporting deadlines.
Attend Stores stock count on a quarterly basis and for year-end audit purposes, verifying a sample of items in both directions, and following up on any discrepancies.
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations on a monthly basis, and review with the Finance Director, ensuring all adjustments and corrections are processed timeously.
Measure exposure to customer credit and ensure that no customer credit is given unless formally approved by the Finance and Maintenance Directors.
Review collection of trade receivables and escalate the collection proceedings where customers are not adhering to agreed payment terms.
Maintain an oversight of billing dept correspondence with customers and ensure that the company’s interests are protected and the regional credit policy adhered to.
Review new customer credit applications and advise on credit worthiness.
Check and approve petty cash float replenishment requests.
On a monthly basis prepare a schedule of staff housing, tooling and other loan deductions for payroll purposes.
Control Maintenance Capex spend against budget.
Plan, direct and co-ordinate the financial year-end closing and year-end external audit for the Maintenance Department.
Identify control weaknesses and establish effective management controls.
Approve Maintenance Department expense claims and Amex claims, ensuring all supporting documentation is attached and claims are within policy.
Liaise with appointed broker for company vehicle insurance renewals.
Co-ordinate the processing of insurance claims for the Maintenance Department and liaise with the appointed loss adjuster to agree the settlement value.
Ensure that the regional Delegation of Authority and all company policies and procedures are adhered to.
Recommend, develop and administer new systems and techniques as appropriate for operational reporting and management decision-making.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor in Commerce
Minimum 7 years' experience out of which 2-3 years in a supervisory role
